Manchester Oxford Road Station

Originally opening in 1849, Oxford Road train station is one of four city-centre train stations and is the second busiest train station in Manchester after Manchester Piccadilly.

The station was rebuilt in 1960 and has since been described by English Heritage as a ‘building of outstanding architectural quality and technological interest’.

Serving South Manchester, the line from Oxford Road station connects Manchester with the rest of the country, and is just a few minutes’ walk away from the entrance of The Principal Manchester.
