The Orangery

At the heart of De Vere Seldson Estate is the restored orangery. Popular in fashionable residences from the 17th to the 19th century, it was used to house fruit trees in the winter months but was also considered to be a great indicator of wealth.

Whether catching up with friends or taking a moment for yourself,  it is a lovely space in which to relax as the large windows, with views out to the gardens, flood the room with light and the elegantly tiled floor creates a timeless 1920s feel.

For those guests who wish to take afternoon tea, we serve it daily from 2.30pm - 4.30pm either traditional or taken with a glass of Champagne (our favourite way).
