The 1877 Restaurant serves up modern classics from a slow roasted rump of lamb to Casterbridge sirloin steak to smoked wood pigeon in a country estate inspired menu.
Over at the bar, a range of wines, craft beers and classic cocktails are on offer, along with a menu that includes gourmet burgers and handcrafted pizzas.
No stay would be complete without taking afternoon tea. Tea is sourced from Birchalls, with its family tradition of blending tea since 1872, and served alongside freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream and an array of cakes and pastries.
